Exploring the anatomy of the brain by the great anatomist Dr. Shibsankar Banerjee, an R G Kar alumnus. Seen in this specimen are the cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres, corpus callosum, the pons and the medulla oblongata, the cingulum and many more intricate structures. I hope to cover the Basal Ganglia, internal and external capsule, the optic radiation sometime later.

  • try putting some more anatomy videos..... i can say that dr.shibshankar banerjee is a very good anatomist.... will love to see more from him... great job in making this video..

  • @anzel023 You are absolutely right; he is a superb anatomist! Unfortunately, I hardly find time in capturing/uploading videos nowadays. But I will try:-) Thanks!

  • I worked for a museum once and my job was to watch over the human brain that we let everyone hold and touch. One guy started to throw it up in the air like a football. I warned him that we take all future brains from museum visitors should anything happen to the brain I was responsible for. It was sort of laminated or something. It was stiff and had some sort of chemical preserving it. Very interesting.

  • @copperpaint You were very right in your decision!

  • This would be a wonderful and helpful video, but I can't seem to hear you because of the surrounding noise. If there is any way to clean up the sound quality or add captioning/subtitles, it would help a lot! Thanks :)

  • @OasisFae You may use a graphic equalizer program like soundman.exe and adjust the controls. Sorry for the disturbing noise:-)

  • Hey give my back-up brain back!

  • Wonderful lecture, very clearly explained.Even though i am engineering professional I am fascinated at the complexity of this little organ that drives us all. Thanks to the cameraman cum up-loader for making this video which gives us an insight into how anatomy classes are conducted.
