The oldest artistic depictions of the conception of Perseus, c. 5th century BC, never depict Zeus making love to Danae, they always show him as just the golden rain dripping onto her cooch. I don't see why golden rain is any more of a sexual conception than holy wind(spirit is wind in Greek & Hebrew) or a dove.
