The best mime fuck up EVER on TOTP was when The Communards sang 'don't leave me this way' the show was live and Jimmy Sommerville and Sarah Jane Morris mimed to each other's lines, the director had no clue what to do and the camera shot jumps around all over the place, HILARIOUS
To the mime critics; he was having a laff, he was probably aware too that it was a "cheesy" cover, maybe done for a bet, but still sounds great, Andy Williams and Ska? Who'd have thought it back then?
Most of TOTP's in the 70's n 80's singers quite often mimed untill folk were clocking on to it, then changesd were starting to be made in the early 90's, what a cringe to see thou
He pulls the mike away at 1:03. Even though it's obvious it's mimed, it's still unprofessional. Boy George did it on TOTP with Everything I Own aswell.
@dietcokewithice When The Beat split: Andy Cox and David Steele became two of the three members of Fine Young Cannibals. Dave Wakeling (the blonde singer) and Ranking Roger formed General Public.
