http://www.AmazingAerialPhotos.com My first night flight and attempt at doing both High Res Photos and HD video at the same time to view the Firework show. I discovered because of the fireworks boom air wave shock it mad eit a little tough to keep still but for the first time I think it turned out okay. The flight took two voyages, one around 8:30 PM and the second at 10PM to watch the amazing firework display at Olean's Bradner Stadium. We are using a helium filled, 8 foot in diameter and 14 foot long to do a night flight over the stadium. The balloon was tethered by two 400 pound Dacron lines and it was interesting because I could not see the balloon and camera to make sure it was pointing in the right direction and also a couple of times the fireworks boom had such a shock wave it was actually shaking the balloon. Please tell me what you think! Thank you and Enjoy!
@shoelessyankee - True, however a couple of big problems. One you are totally dependant upon the wind, shock waves from the fireworks and extremely hard to see it at 400 feet in the air when its pitch black out side. Believe me I would have loved to gotten all the the fire works.

What an amazing town. I sure do miss it. Growing up there was a bit like being in a Jimmy Stewart movie. It's a shame the downtown got wiped out by that awful mall. I remember when all the businesses were owned by neighbors. *sigh* Well, nothing stays the same but does everything have to be taken over by "Wart-Mall"?
