This was very informative and helpful for my future works. I appreciate the time and effort you've put in to do this and help all of us simple, little people.

Spirited away <3
Can I just ask what your video settings are? Your videos always seem to be like really high in quality.

@SlashGashJokerWhore Spirited Away is one of my favorite movies ever.
hopefully this is what you're asking about; well working in Vegas I keep them at 720x480 - and the preview window I don't mess with. I render it the same size 720x480 and then bring it through in mpeg-streamclip and export it to a .mp4 that's when i knock it up to 1280 x 720.

I've only ever watched Spirited Away when I was in school. Once for English and three times for Media Studies. But it's a pretty cute film.
Hmm, I might try it that way. Hopefully, it won't take as long. My last video, Belle x Erik, took me almost 4 hours to render. But I'm not sure if it was because I had like 8 channels running, and it was 4 mins long. I usually rendered as WMV 1280x720. I'll test this method out next time I render. Thank you in advance. =]

@SlashGashJokerWhore ; it shouldn't, but the more effects, colors, channels and all that stuff take it longer to render. add it that wmv takes forever that could take forever. i really do hate wmv, even rendering that announcement for break the ice was so annoying it took like 12mins which to me is forever!
get mpeg-streamclip from squared5.com; there is a plug in you can get to make avis out of vobs, but you shouldn't need that; but i do highly suggest getting it. it's $20 dollars on apple
