And then there were none.  The last remaining undefeated National Football League team recorded their first loss of the 2010 season in week five on October 10, 2010.  The Kansas City Chiefs' Cinderella run was stopped this week in a 19-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Losing streaks for three teams continued for the fifth week in a row as the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers each remained winless.  Buffalo fell 36-26 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina dropped to 0-3 at home with a 23-6 loss to the Chicago Bears and the 49ers came up short on Sunday Night Football, losing 27-24 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys continued their downward slide in week five as well, dropping to 1-3 on the season after an error-filled 34-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

One previously winless team saw a big win in week five, the Detroit Lions.  Playing at home against the St. Louis Rams, the Lions tallied their first win in 10 games with a 44-6 victory.

Other week five games included the Baltimore Ravens defeating the Denver Broncos 31-17, the Washington Redskins defeating the Green Bay Packers 16-13, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 24-21, the Atlanta Falcons defeating the Cleveland Browns 20-10, the New York Giants defeating the Houston Texans 34-10, the Arizona Cardinals defeating the New Orleans Saints 30-20 and the Oakland Raiders defeating the San Diego Chargers 35-27.

While the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks had the week off, week five wraps up on October 11, 2010, with a Monday Night Football contest between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets.
