UPDATE (11/12/2008): I received an email from Ian Inaba about my video for Video the Vote -
"Noel,
I just wanted to send you a personal note to thank you for you video. It's one of the most entertaining and well constructed reports we received this year. If I might ask, please save your master tapes as we may contact you back in the near future when we edit our post election wrap up pieces. Thanks again for being a part of video the vote 2008.

After waiting in line myself nearly 3 hours to cast my vote, I went to a nearby polling location to volunteer for Video the Vote (http://videothevote.org) and interview any willing voters that wanted to share their opinion regarding their voting experience.
Many voters became increasingly frustrated as they realized that, even though the poll workers were identifying eligible voters via computer and not paper lists, they were still splitting voters based on the starting letter of their last name.
Voters whose last name began with a letter N-Z found themselves in very short lines of an average of 20-30 minutes.
However, voters whose last name began with a letter A-Z found themselves in lines ranging from 3-4+ hours on average, naturally causing much frustration.
Also, in District 3, they used paper verification for eligibility. Made it much simpler.

I thought the way it was at College Park Middle was ridiculous. I'm in District 3, and it took me 15 minutes to vote, and then I went to pick up my girlfriend there. I think it was just unorganized there.

SOOOOOO TRUE! Screw Goose Creek! I stood in line 2 hours before I had to leave due to a sick child at daycare. I didn't get to vote!
Goose Creek was totally unprepared to handle the turnout.
