  • was showing some friends your vids a few min ago and happened on this vid. DANG, it was really good. i already knew how to do it cause i was 11B10 and i was raised by parents with 3rd grade schooling BUT who had post graduate level knowledge. thanks for educating the people who want to know. friends were impressed. heck i didnt even know about the sodis and wapi. keep it up.

  • @adamfurstman It always blows my mind when someone says that they show my videos to their friends. Speaking the way that I do has always kept me from having friends. This channel is the closest thing that I have ever had to friends. With the exception of people who are terminally ill or totaly incapacitated by illness. It is fun to speak freely and not be abused for it.

  • Solar treated water is alright, i like to travel with little water on my body, so i hydrate propperly before i leave, and i keep some coal in my fishing bag, and the cotton rag, dirt and such for filtering the larger particles. I also tend to boil the water just to make sure ;) cheers!!!

  • @guldahlrahmi I got a solar oven from "Global Sun Ovens" just a little while ago. They sent it with a "WAPI". It doesn't take long at all on a clear day to bring the water up to a boil. But..... I'm thinking about ordering a bunch of those "WAPI's" just to speed things along.

  • I have a drilled well, all my neighbors have drilled wells. Where I live which is close (within 20 miles) to a major city (state college). I don't get it? I've been drinking from a drilled well since I was a baby. Not all people in America get their water from the "city" and the CDC is located in my state!!

  • @meharris0925 If I am in the woods and I get thirsty, I drink right out of my well. One of my wells is only 9 feet deep and I always get sand in my teeth when I drink from it. Sometime I swallow the sand, and sometime I just spit it out. Depends on how I feel.

  • @meharris0925 if you live in the state wher the Centers for Disease Control then you live in what we call "God's little acre". it is the best kept secret in the world and i am lucky enough to have been born there. i am sure you know that "shallow" wells have the benefit that when the "lectric" goes off you can draw a buck of water you know you can trust. i think it is a good thing to stay "connected" to our aboriginal roots. like sust&cover said, we might need to share if SHTF.

  • @SustenanceNCovering when i use the word "friend" you can rest and say it was a "friend" and yes they were impressed. they liked the video. it worked for them. i was tickled that they enjoyed it. will try to send others to see them. thanks. "adam"

  • Great vid! Thank you!

  • Great topic.

  • @SustenanceNCovering Thats quite clever, although I still think that cleaning water using filtering methods, with coal and boiling water may be faster in terms of the amounts of water produced, I live in Norway so I'm quite fortunate that most water found outside is quite clean and in abundance (though this may change when shit hits the fan, anyway I still wont risk catching e-coli and other bacteria, and of course the risk of drinking water where some animal has died which is quite hard to tell
