Health Psychology Peru 09

This program exists to give students at Augusta State University the opportunity to have a profound experience learning about health psychology while studying abroad in Cusco, Peru. While abroad, students participating in this program work closely with a women's clinic devoted to helping reduce the rate of cervical cancer in the region. Some women walk as long as 15 hours just to get checked out at this clinic. It is a pretty rewarding program to be a part of. Students who have chosen to be a part of this program before have also had the opportunity to learn some Spanish, relax with some yoga, dance salsa style, visit some ancient Inca ruins sites, and create a lot of last memories.
