I highly doubt this and even if this was to be true whale meat isn't good for the human body. Sure it has some protein but it also contains PCBs, DDTs, Dioxins, and Methylmercury; all of which are poisons to the human body. The only reason why Japan can get away with it is because their whale meat contains relatively low levels of these contaminants. Besides that, I don't even think you're looking at the process of catching a whale (pollution wise), let alone the effects it has on the ecosystem.
