  • Hey, very nice, thanks for the tutorial, helps a lot.

Any technique you can pass on the process of inking, I am having hard time with brush, thanks.

  • @TheComicsguy Thicker lines with the shadow, thinner where the light hits. Dave Simms says always draw the brush toward you. Always check your ink's consistency, and keep paper close that you can scrawl on. Don't give up before it's done, and if it's done and you still don't like it, go ahead and tear it up and start over ;)

  • Thank you for the tutorial it's really helpful. But I noticed you don't seem to think using Photoshop to ink is a good idea, and I was wondering why? Also I'm curious as to how long it takes to finish a page? And which process do you think is the hardest when making a comic? Sorry for the pain in the ass questions, I know a guy whose a professional inker but he's really most of the time. ^_^ I also like StarCraft btw!

  • @Pitbullinlace Oops, that was me signed in under my gf's account. Don't worry about perfection! It doesn't exist. Worry about evolution, your evolution as an artist. That comes from practice and failure and more practice!

  • I can definitely appreciate this. These videos are great. Thanks for the tips.

  • Dude what happened to part 3? these where great. I'm a newbie I need any kind of advice.

  • Sidecake, thank you for the clarification. And 8 hrs wow that is really something! I can barely concentrate an hour. ^_^; I wish some of the comics out in stores had as much detail and care. Even though I aspire to just make a webcomic I'm a perfectionist and won't put a single page out unless it's gold ( well more like my best effort actually)... Anyway, thank you again! =)

  • @Pitbullinlace I find that digital inks are not nearly as clean as an inker who works with a fine brush. For instance, check out All Star Superman's digital inks and compare them to real inked work by the same artist. Photoshop is good for many, many other things, but I ink by hand: ALWAYS. It takes me a full 8 hr work day to ink a page that has detailed pencils. Thanks for the post!

  • @SgtPwnzor1 Thanks for asking. Just got my work listed at Indyplanet. I'll post a link in the description.

  • hey man where can I buy your comics at??
