Since day 1 Ashanti has been true in her music about real life situations that many of us ladies can relate to. I been a true fan and watched her grow in her music and the declaration album to me was showing her fans how true she is to herself and her music. She hasnt changed but she has shown us growth in this album. She doesnt get the credit she deserves but only her true fans understand her and the struggle and thats why i respect her. She has always been the one that i can relate to most

I agree 100%, all the other chicks are trying to make smokes and mirrors with their videos and hype with their sexy image. But when u sit down and listen clearly to the music there is not much quality. Ashanti puts her heart into her work and with or without haters she still is going to do her and not do what it takes to sell records but make great music. I didnt understand what she was Declaring with "The Declaration" but I believe its to stay true to herself no matter what & I luv her for that
