  • im about to fight a boxer, iv been doing Gracie jiujitsu for around 7 months, what would be the best way for me to defend my face as i shoot in for a clinch. I know if i guard the front, he will hook me, and then natural instinct will be to guard the side, and then he will uppercut...should i just let the hook happen and try to ignore it? I KNOW ILL TAKE HIM DOWN, I just dont want to get hit in the fucking face, cuz if he does, mucho truble at school and ill probly do more damage than intended

  • well u can cover up kind of like boxers do where their hands are on the side of their heads so their forearms cover a bit of their face and a bit of the side of their head. However, in a fight (i assume street fight) you are probably gonna get hit no matter what you do. The best thing would be a double leg takedown if you want to go to the ground. I assume since you have been doing GJJ for about 7 months they should have taught you the double leg. Ill shoot you a Personal Message

  • eso lo puede aprender un principiante mirando ese video, es posible aprenderlo solo mirando el video

  • es posible aprender solomente, pero es mejor aprender en clase de jiu jitsu

  • muito bom

  • awesome teacher

  • @OffspringFTW65 interesting

  • @OffspringFTW65 Well after everything you do in training, after that...it'll be him that will dictate what you're gonna do.....how you will close the distance.

  • @raubritter222 If u would like to see the fight, it is on youtube. search "fightforce middleweight championship" I am Ryan :)

  • @raubritter222 lol well in february of 2010, I won by choking him out after 10 minutes of being punched in the face, I was able to maintain conciousness by staying close and not giving him momentum. And ever sense then i have competed in 2 us grapplings and 1 copa america placing 3rd, 2nd, 2nd(copa america 10 man mens blue belt bracket) I have recently gotten my second stripe ont he blue belt and I am preparing for my 4th tourney on oct. 22, I am very proud and I want to be the best

  • @OffspringFTW65 So, how did everything go?

  • @keyshang yeah that works and its the most obvious thing to do when you get in that position since you already have his arm and are at his side.
