Kennedy is against coal because he has an investment in nuclear energy. If more treehuggers would do their homework instead of jumping on the governement band wagon. Maybe they would open their eyes to the fact that there were no cars or coal when the dinosaurs became extinct. Climate change is just climate change. Most of California's electricity comes from oil and natural gas burning; which is virtually no different than burning coal. Additionally, CA uses hydro-electric plants and nuclear. Wind and solar provide LESS THAN 7% of your electricity. Before you insult West Virginians; educate yourself about the facts you purort to know. Studies have also shown that there is no greater danger befalling mankind than uninformed and ignorant zealots!

I am a treehugger from California. Funny how we don't need coal any more! Not one house in California use's electricity from coal. If you morans want to poison your self's and breath the crap be my guess! Studies have shown breathing in coal dust destroys your brain.
But then again there are other people in your state, who give a shit an want the future generations to live. Coal free with wind farms like we have going up all over California, along with solar plants! And guess what happens JOBS
