Celena Langlois hasn't spent her last days of summer sleeping in.
The 9-year-old attended a summer program at Washington Township Community Park, and she had a rather practical reason for attending.
"It gets you ready for school because it gets you used to getting up in the morning," Celena said.
She also enjoyed a wide variety of activities during the camp, which started July 30 and ended Friday. Held in partnership with HIP Studios, the camp offered about 20 to 40 children ages 8-14 activities including water balloon tosses, cupcake decorating and three-legged races. Some days had specific themes based on national "wacky holidays," said park director Kristen Machan.
