Disaster occured during Tangguh LNG exploration in Taroi Village (one of categorized as Tangguh LNG Directly Affected Villages), Indonesian West Papua Province, has caused loss of lives and burn of native tribe's main source of food; millions of Sago trees as main source of food for native local were burned during exploration for Tangguh LNG gas reserve in 1997. The Villagers demand Tangguh LNG (consortium led by British giant company BP) and Government of Republic of Indonesia for proper response for the loss caused by the catastrophic fire and deaths of four babies believed caused by the gas leak from one of the drilling rigs.
The videos taken during village hall meeting during DPR-RI (House of Representatives) investigation visit after eleven years of strugle abandoned by the authorities. Through these videos, Taroi Villagers screaming for help to the world putting necessary pressure to Tangguh LNG.
