@jacknifepl That star is Antares, located in the constellation Scorpius. To the right of Antares is a vertical arc of 3 bright stars that make up the "claw." The "tail" is found down and left of Antares, below the horizon.
Sagittarius can be found between Jupiter and the Milky Way, resting on top of the horizon. It is most easily recognized by its teapot shape (spout on the right). If you look carefully, the whitest cloud of the Milky Way is the hot "steam" coming from the teapot.

@JFMatador It's a planet. Probably either Saturn or Jupiter.

All I can say is I love it, I love it, I love it!
@JFMatador I used a planetarium simulator to go back to July 4 2008 in Japan to see what the object was, and it was Jupiter.
