What do you mean?

Well, its all personal preference what you want to use in your song. I made this hip hop beat very quick only for tutorial purposes to show how to use the program.. The quality of the beat wasn't the focus here.

I meant if I wnat to make a beat on reason do I absolutely have to have a MIDI keybopard or a synthetiser ?

No you dont absolutely need to have a midi keyboard or synthesizer. You can use your mouse to draw the notes you want. However, making music using reason is much more intuitive with a keyboard, rather than a mouse.

Nice tutorial, I've been using fruity loops, and im just getting in to reason, so i'm pretty much a beginner.

I have a question though, When I take my finger off the key board, the sample does not stop.

can anyone help me ?

How can i make the synthes to sound good, when try to make something it just sounds strange.

so, when you are stoning away with a sample on our mpc's long time enough .. does it also look like to you, that the pads look exACTLY like on the box it came in!!!X-S

Great beat! Just wondering if you do any dubstep bruv? If so post a video on how you did it. If not then I know how hard it is to make dubstep. its just that im finding it hard to get the right wobbles i need out of reason. But im gettin there with the help of others cheers for this tutoral anyway. Become a learning curve!
