SoreThumb: Boat Raft-up Gone Bad

A crowd of about 25 boats motored to the Sore Thumb to enjoy their Saturday. The majority of the boat owners and their families are on the beach having a good time, not even noticing their 25 boat raft-up line was quickly drifting away with the current and out to sea.

This video shows the crisis about to happen as the raft-up moves down the beach into the open waters. You'll see boat owners racing down the beach into the rough current waters, almost drowning. Many of them didn't make it to their boats and had to watch them float away from the shore. Some boat owners where on their boats where many of them tried to drop their anchors to prevent themsleves from drifting away. This caused a very dangerous pile-up where we see and hear some fiberglass breaking away!

Amazingly, nobody was injured and from what we could see, everyone eventually got their boats back. Maybe having a raft-up of 25+ boats wasn't such a good idea after all! Watch this video to see this crisis in action!
