The video camera doesn't capture well enough the amount of snow and indeed the depth of snow that was on the mountain itself. Winds picked up to around 60/70 mph, and there were a few instances where I lost footing due to the severity of the wind and almost fell over the side of the hill. Conditions changed instantly upon reaching this point, and I could actually see people sliding down the mountain because the ice was really bad. Snow was up to three metres deep.
