Shockofgod is Kaufman

This is a comparison between late 70s- early 80s artist Andy Kaufman.

Though Kaufman was successful, I see a funny similarity between Kaufman and the fella Shockofgod here on youtube.

Kaufman made his mark by being hated. He purposefully deceived his audience by saying things that he knew they would hate even despise.

it was not until after his death did people see the brilliance of his performance.

Shockofgod, from the looks of things is attempting to do the same except...well, there is no pay off. this is youtube.

Shockofgod is pretending to be an ex-atheist now conservative christian that could not hack it on youtube by trying to be a video gamer or motor cycle rider so ...he went onto atheim and says things that are not just easily debunked, flawed or just plain dumb...he constantly calls out names of folks with a huge following and says that they are "laughable, comedic, mad, etc" JUST to try and get those people to pay attention to him (shockofgod)

now this sounds like a conspiracy but just think about it....it was not until The Atheist Expirence, ZJemptv, DonExedous2, and TheAmazingAtheist did video responses (combined video views over 2,000,000) did shock start FINALLY after a year of mud slinging, getting his videos over the 1,000 view mark.

when someone does something like Kaufman did...its genius

when you try to copy it...well, the genius is lesser felt.

I cannot think of a time prior to or after Kaufman did someone get lauded for professionally "trolling" which is why I still love Kaufmans works. ...now seeing how sog works as being so similar ...I just see a copy cat in this and have lost what little respect I did have for SOG.

You know, I never thought of SOG in terms of Andy Kaufman, but I honestly always thought he was a fraud. There is more self-promotion and links to his radio show than anything else in his videos and I could just feel that his only true interest is building a name for himself. If anyone wants to find out what Andy Kaufman was all about, watch "Man on the Moon" with Jim Carrey as Kaufman. Fantastic movie.

Wow, you look a lot different than I expected. You look cool. Anyway, great point again! I'd never heard of Kaufman until now, but that is a good comparison. I always thought that shock is either an atheist now or is lying about being an "Ex-atheist". His gameplay videos are also total crap! He had a video called something like 'Fastest 10 killstreak in mw2 ever!'. I'm not a huge MW2 fan (although I am about to get the platinum trophy), but his video was mediocre.
