Palm Beach Rotary Makes Christmas Dreams Come True!

Warm greetings!
Whatever your faith or religion, no one can deny the joy in a child's face on Christmas morning waking up and rushing downstairs with the hope and anticipation of finding that special gift of love, long anticipated and fervently hoped for. Each year for nearly ten, the Rotary Club of Palm Beach, Florida, USA has helped make the Christmas dreams come true for children who participate in programs of the Edwin W. Brown Family WMCA in West Palm Beach, Florida. Working with the outstanding staff of the YMCA, under the direction of Jacqueline Frost, Mike Green and Lizette Matias, members of the Rotary Club of Palm Beach create a "wish list" of gifts for the kids, tap the resources of their club foundation to purchase, assemble and wrap the gifts - this year assembling 30 bikes - and create a holiday program for the kids packed with laughter, joy, and fun... and of course a special appearance by Santa Claus! And none of this would happen without the special Rotary hearts of the event's annual co-chairs Jean Meisenzahl and John Mitchell. This holiday season, we give special thanks to Jean and John and to all the club members who helped behind the scenes to make this special event happen, Mercedes Cassiday, Riccardo Boehm, Roland Manuel, Anita Manuel, and Kim Parkey. Special thanks, too, to Michelle Sordolet, and RotoKid Club Members, Veronica and Olivia Sordolet, and to Glen Travers, Mignon Travers, Bella Grear and to Santa's sled team lead by the crew at John C. Cassidy Air Conditioning and to Santa's special bike assembly elve, Frank Bocook. No simple task to assemble 30 bicycles and transport them plus 60 more gifts without the use of Santa's reindeer, who, of course, are not available until Christmas eve! From every member of the Rotary Club of Palm Beach, our special wishes to all who read this note and watch this video for a holiday season that makes your dreams come true!
