  • A lit candle is placed inside and lycopodium powder is blown in (there a different methods, but a rubber hose running to a funnel inside the pumpkin with lycopodium powder in the funnel).

  • How did make the pumpkin explode anyway? Did the build up inside just pop it or what? and I seen something like this on home imporvement once ; at the beginning; when we carve a pumpkin; we need more power!

  • I like the use of the Candyman themesong.

  • after all WHY did it explode like this. what was burning inside that reactived so hard with the CO2 but not with the normal oxygen?

  • :D Hahahahaha BOOM!!!

  • ok then whats going on cuz i dont know. i just know im gonna do it this year haha

  • Imagine you put one pumpkin like this at the door and somebody opened em and found it. They would say wow nice and the BOOM :)

  • The music is almost hypnotic. I love this video and appreciate it not only because it is entertaining (and has awesome slow-motion parts), but also because as a chemistry teacher I understand what is going on.
