Here I am showing off my new 1.2 oz ZPacks Cuben Fiber Rain cover for my new ULA Circuit. It is made of 0.51 oz/sqyd cuben fiber and features a 1/16" elastic cord with a toggle to cinch it shut as well as a small buckle to run under my shoulder straps to "lock" the cover down to my pack so it won't happen to fly away... It comes in a stuff sack made of the same material and Joe put a small drain hole in the bottom so that just in case water does get in, it will drain out rather than slosh around...

  • I like rain covers so I can lay my pack down and keep dry and clean when i set it down , Great review sticks

  • @medicjimr

I have done the same thing with mine. I have also laid them on the ground at the foot of my tarp when it is raining to help block some rain from coming in at the foot.

  • Hey HS, he has the Blaze Orange but in SIl. In the Cuben he has Leaf Green and Olive Drab at the moment. I believe that he had a clear or a white too, but it may be out of stock at the moment.

If I ever decide to get a sil cover I will get on of Joes.

  • HS, yes he will do custom work. I just contacted him before I placed my order and told him what I wanted. Depending on what you need, it may be more money and time, but I don't see how sewing the straps on at a different spot would change this.

Did you get to look at this on our last hike? I had it with me, but we obviously didn't need it...

Will the company put the straps where you want them?Id like in the middle ,it would hold the cover on better(I think). Also, thats a good idea on putting the hole at the bottom.Look forward to the next hike my friend.HS
