@castelinop why is it a shamble? I thought they just replaced a run with a weighted march and push ups, whats more important sprinting around in running shoes or carrying a load and lifting your own body weight? Jets are real cool at doing laps around NZ and checking out the scenery but never actually got used for anything serious, they didnt even support Timor when NZ first went in and thats just up the road. Army does not have tanks, does it make them shit? how do you use a steyr properly?

You're missing the point. The girl is getting rescued from a boring life. By joining the Air Force, she gets taken away to something more exciting. It's not supposed to be literal, people know they're not going to be picked up like that. The ad showcases the modern Air Force's role - peacekeeping, search and rescue, logistics etc. A country the size of NZ can't keep multi billion dollar fleet of fighters sitting around just because they look cool. The NH90s are versatile & suit NZ's missions.

I'm all for getting kids to join the RNZAF but don't make them think they'll be allowed to take an NH90 to pick up their gf.

RNZAF is in a shamble, wtf kind air force are they? They reduced their fitness test, their combat wind is non-existent, over half of RNZAF personnel would probably not know how to use a Steyr properly.
