This is part 2 of changing the bearrings on a Miele W 8115.

Bear in mind that this machine hadn't seen fresh water and soap in 6 months, so the water was really filthy when I did a test wash.

The motor, pump and bearrings need to run in again. Right now (after about 4 loads of laundry) the machine is even quieter.

Once again: thanks to the repairman for finding the problem with the pressure chamber. I didn't notice the small hose at all *lol*

Enjoy!!

  • Thanks for the reply I finally fixed the problem it was a bent connector at the cassette end so the full spin switch wasn't activating .. so you was correct in your assumption's. . thanks and keep up the good work

  • @MrUGO111 Aaah... That explains a lot :) Cheers!

  • @MrUGO111 Hi... You can write in English ;) I can't make sense of the strange bad-translated Dutch you wrote ^^

  • @Wiljannn Hi Wil, I have a WAS 5425 and stopped spinning, so I replaced the brushes, which where worn. Now the machine tries to run, but not a complete rapid spin it stops spinning the drum after about 5 low rpm spins and a problem to light flashes. Ive took the belt of and put it on a fast spin but it does the same and stops and doesnt do a high rpm spin. Any help is appreciated, I cleaned the filter and it empties about 20 liters in a short wash.

  • @MrUGO111 Hi, I can see something went wrong with my response. Hence the late re-reply ;-)

If the drum spins about 5 times, before the machine indicates an error, it tells me that the machine doesn't detect any drum movement. That doesn't make sense, because the drum turns, as you told me.

The problem can be found at either the calbes (loose connections, wrongly connected, broken cables) or at the circuit board.
