Another beautiful soprano voice restored using Adobe Audition, this time an early Victor Electrical (VE) Orthophonic recording, circa 1926-1928. The frequency response of the original audio extends from around 100 Hz to 5 kHz -- a small but significant improvement over the earlier acoustic Victrola recordings.
Talley had a pleasing voice...and her diction was splendid. Thank you for posting this recording.

i think the reson why the frequency response was not very high on the early orthophoic recordings is becoase they used carbon microphones... well it was good brodcast quality carbon microphones but all carbon microphoes in general have a limited frequency response and signal to noise ratio so thats propoby why.
