You are awesome Mr. Squee36. I was at one of those performances way back when. What a maestro he was!

Much of it was. released...although it what was released was a mixture of the concert, the audience-less recordings made in the venue prior (or perhaps after) the concert and numerous studio overdubs. And THAT is the bulk of what became the "Orchestral Favorites" lp (aka, the orchestral sections of the Lather album). I prefer the raw board tape to the album itself.

i was there one of the 3 days of the royce hall show in '75. i was walking around the halls earlier in the day and saw the mobile recording unit out back. i managed to stand in the wings behind bozzio while they were rehearsing. pretty cool memory.

I remember this show. It got a lot of press. This piece has to be his best solo. It should be his signature piece because it represents how he wanted to be seen mowing down an entire orchestra with his guitar slinging play while they perform his music. This puts him in a category of legendary performers that create their own worlds...
was the whole ucla show officially released?
