There are maps at the top of Yianjiajie in Zhangjiajie National Park showing the scenic trails and highlights. Visit "Celestial Tortoise looks up at the heavens" (hysterical names) and begin walking the trails. Fortunately, the trail was wide with a fence on one side and a cliff on the other. Steep, straight drops down and vertiginous.
Crowds behind and coming towards us. Frequent stops at viewing platforms hanging out over the sheer drops to admire the karst pinnacles James Cameron used as background in "Avatar." Quite a sight...
