@luvtotruck According to Wikipedia (I know, not very reliable) and instruments I have seen her play, she can play banjo, mandolin, dobro, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, steel guitar, sitar, and accordion. I think she might also play a bit of fiddle. And I gotta agree with you, she is UNBELIEVABLY talented. They all are.

Nice.... Just listenin to some good tunes. I really dont care what the chick said, music is, well, music. Sounds nice.

IS THERE ANY FUCKING INSTRUMENT EMILY CANNOT LEARN TO PLAY? I JUST BOUGHT THE TAKING THE LONG WAY CD AND ON THE STUDIO VERSION WHEN NAT SINGS AND I WANT I NEED I SWEAR IT SOUNDS LIKE A FUCKING SITAR BEING STRUMMED MAN! UNBELIEVABLE JUST LIKE SOMETHING GEORGE HARRISON WOULD DO. HAD TO TRAIN MY EAR TO BLOCK OUT OTHER INSTRUMENTS BUT IF EMILY IS STRUMMING A SITAR I AM IN TOTAL AWE OF THIS YOUNG WOMANS TALENT. THE SITAR IS NOT EASY TO PLAY.

Words do not exist to express how much I love this. How much I love the way they all look so beautiful, sing so amazingly, play so phenomenally. I can't even get over it. This might be the best performance they have ever given.

Last I heard the girls had decided to go from Country into the catagory of music much the same as Pink which I guess is easy rock, what ever the catagory any-how you can bet yr ass their fans won't throw them to the slaughter just because one and or all of them have an oppinion aboutsomthing that they believe in strongly. PINK said it best while she is paying tax's out of her ass basically she has the right to voice her oppinion, and so does Natalie Maines. It's when u stop payin tax's u shut T,F,U
-
@geppetto96 The sisters lived there for the sake of starting a career, but weren't born or raised in Texas. Maines was, but left as soon as she could. They could have claimed London as hometown with as much credibility.
-
@nataliejacksondance You don't understand it because you think the only thing they did was make that comment. You also, no doubt, believe she meant it. She didn't. Who said so? Natalie Maines herself. For almost a year, she admitted it was a pandering joke. They even include her admitting it was a joke in their own movie. Only when it would serve her better with latecomers like yourself did she 'flip flop" and decide she meant it. It wasn't the southern states that tossed them, it was C&W fans.
-
@nataliejacksondance But they come from Texas! That is the point...
-
@chrislovesb I am afraid they already have... :'(

I think America's understood Dixie Chicks since 2006, when Bush's approval rates went down a slippery slope. Only everyone who badmouthed them in 2003 were too stubborn to admit that the Chicks were the first ones to see Bush for what he really ones.
