The rotor blades were directly above the kerb outside the sweetshop on one side and 2m from a lamp post outside the pub opposite, landed 3m east of the mini roundabout in very windy conditions, nerves of steel doesnt begin to describe it, my heart was in my mouth when he took off, awesome is an overused word...but not this time.

I had the pilot working for us the other day, he was flying for PDG and he said it was rather tight landing. He went on to say that he visited Berwick a few weeks later with his wife and thought that he probably wouldn't do it again, once on the ground a lot more of the obstacles became apparent. Great flying. We had him lifting electric poles for us After the recent snows- great pilot indeed.

the real skill was the confined landing, not the take off.
