My favorite track in the game besides the staff credits music, Hole of Heroes and Wistful Wild.

You might have gotten a few of the Rhythms wrong - I'm not actually sure because I haven't actually listened to the real thing - cause there's a few awkward spots, but other then that, I like it.

No, the original thing is kinda like that. The music for the caves in Pikmin 2 are always pretty random and it isn't unusual for two different instruments to totally disregard each other. It adds to the feeling of the area, I think. :D

I recommend you check out the original song, though.

It does! It sounds very close to Spirit Tracks! The Lost Woods, or the blizzard!

I just noticed near the end that the.. louder bell sound was doing something a little random, but that's definitely not to say I didn't like the song :p

I definitely don't have an issue with unusual rhythms, I quite like stuff with dissonance tones and sometimes unfitting rhythms.
