@kdrapertrucker The manuevering of the Vipers is very realistic. They shouldn't be moving around in space the way an F-16 does in the air. The Cylons weren't "made human", just made to appear human. Much the same way that we are anthropormorphising robots now, the Cylons sought the same.
I won't pretend to know how military officers are supposed to act, never serving myself. But I think the fact they are the only humans left would make them change their behavior somewhat.

@NathanJ1979 the origanal is far superior to the new one. cylons are alien cyborgs, starbuck is a ciger chomping gambling ladies man, boomer is a black man who is an ace Viper pilot, Adama is a wise commander trying to keep the human race alive while beset by civilian leadership full of stupid, or corrupt councillers, & the colonies & cylon imperium have been at war for 1000 years prior to the events in the first episode.

@finalfrontier1701 Actually the new Galactica series which I call Galactica 90210 sucked. the vipers looked cool but they manuvered like an old mercury space capsule. these are supposed to be from a spacefaring culture that has had faster then light capability for millinnea. not to mention that the cylons were made human, what's up with that everyone knows cylons are suppost to be cybernetic aliens. in the new show no one acts like the military officer's they are suppost to be.

"Fan" of this, tried new one, it was a no go for me (after 5 minutes). Dunno why, to forced, too ambitious, i think.

I love the appearance of the Pegasus and the cyclon's surprise.

Very Cool...This show was Way Ahead of it's Time, Concept Wise, Subject Matter Wise and Budget and Special Effects Wise. If the Budgetr had been Lower and SPX Technology Higher back in the 1970s and of there had not been a Lawsuit shutting the show Down. Then Original Battlestar Galactica would have lasted Ten Seasons. It would have launched Syndicated TV if it had Premiered 10 Years Later around the Same Time as Star Trek : The Next Generation which was sort of like Masterpiece Theater in Space

GREAT compilation! Some of my favorite scenes were in there. I coulda went without seeing Serina's death scene, however. I watched (most of it) on your vid, but I don't want to ever see it on the show again, it's Heartwrenching... I'm posting a vid response that I hope you'll aprove. It took a LOT of work and is very long.

magyar zászló azért befigyel:D
The acting and drama were top notch in the new BSG series. They could have used the 1978 effects and it would have still been awesome.
The 70's-80's series were ok, but the acting of some kind of dragged the series down. the effects weren't the problem.

Hard to believe it's been 30 years. The reinvention of the series is all right. People have to remember both shows come from different eras. The original relied more on the acting and drama because the special effects were in it's infancy in 1978. The new series had a lot of drama and used a documentary point-of-view with awesome special effects. In the end, thank the original Star Wars because if Star Wars was not released in 1977, special effects would not be what it is today. "
