Did the mysterious mystic Druids build Stonehenge?-the dates don't fit this popular theory. Many believe the mystic Celtic high priests dubbed 'The Druids' built Stonehenge. Trace the intriguing source of this popular theory, and find out why the dates simply don't add up.
No, the Druids didn't build Stonehenge, but they almost certainly used it in their rites - and still do :).

@xchesskingx Try Ronald Hutton's excellent book on the druids and their customs. Also, Miranda Green is a world expert on celtic/druid culture and these two are definately not fluffy in any way.

@thermo1984 Nope. I'm correct. You're facts are out dated and you're either blind or purposely not wanting to believe the facts because of your own conditioning and beliefs. Remove the rose tinted glasses, the world is much clearer when you let go of dogma. I'm saddened for you.

@thermo1984 You've proved nothing. All you do is twist the facts & accuse others of doing what you're doing. No invasions.Gradual immigration. Cultural superiority isn't genetic superiority. You will find absolutely no evidence people have been wiped out as you claim. Show me the bodies. You're playing in the adult arena now, so every step you take be prepared that you'll be asked to prove your theories, and people won't be brow beaten just because you say it is.

@sonofherne That’s the main problem with people like you, there is only one person you listen to and that’s yourself. To sit and blatantly say the Irish and Scots are not descendant from Celts and the Saxons never invaded Britain is absurd and laughable have fun with your 20 friends who believe you, the rest of society will move forward with reality and facts, welcome to my ignore list hope you have fun, I'm done with you wasting my time.

@sonofherne You're a waste of time, I could tell from our first conversation that you were a conspiracy nut. I'm glad I proved it. Your comment about books and information is the exact comment the Nazis made before they started the book burnings, which is the same reason why we had the dark ages. When people turn from established knowledge without showing facts or proof of what they say mankind goes backwards I never made one comment about Stonehenge comprehend what I am saying.

@thermo1984 100 years ago you would have laughed if I'd told you that Stonehenge was neolithic & not built by druids. That is what they believed & what was written in many books. It doesn't make it true. The Anglo Saxon "invasion" never happened either in the way it was often presented. Sadly all too many people, including students, chose to do their research on the net these days, which is full of dis information. Even today you find sites on Stonehenge with dates hundreds of years out.

Do you believe everything written on paper.Perhaps you read The Sun & think everything is true? Many encyclopedias were written decades ago & the misinformation has just crossed over. This has only been apparent in the last 10 years & confirms what a growing group of archaeo's believed, that there was no celtic invasion. Please explain how our dna matches to that of Iberia than Europe! Spanish must be all Europeans too. Prior to Romans they were celtic speaking. What you say doesn't make sense.
