how do you gauge quality when it comes to this kind of music? Like I get the whole grotesque, shock character of it, it's meant to be dark, but when the music itself is so disorganized and staccato, what do you consider signs of real talent?
In more structured metal, even just plain hardcore, you can appreciate the complexity but overall calculatedness of harmonies. I can stand this music, I just don't see technique in it.
