I play the same way too, got some disadvantages on the finger picking but its easier to make high notes scream

It's not a competition folks, otherwise there would only be 3 or 4 musicians game enough to play with each other. Musicians don't compare themselves to others, it ain't healthy for the mind or the ego. It's really just about having fun, playing with your mates. Mates don't stand around comparing who's got the biggest dick.

@ZeppelinBowd It doesn't look hard, Albert King was King and he played essentially a similar thing, cutting and devastating. It's what's in your heart that matters.

@nothwind Do you realize how ignorant your statement makes you sound? Doyle is the man don't get me wrong, but John has put in his hard work and dedication. You should listen to some of Mayer's trio stuff and then tell me Doyle EATS MAYER ALIVE!!!?? no way. Just cause Mayer started out doing pop music doesn't mean he's a chump on the guitar. They are both great blues musicians period. Doyle is definitely underated tho i must say.
