Whatever its real price, it's one of the coolest machines to ever come out of Detroit. Aluminum fenders and hood. They meant business in '62 and '63.

I bet the engine churns 450 hp. The tunnel ram probably adds about 40 or 50 to the normal 405 hp output of that powerplant.

And quite the story how he found it!

I read in a magazine that back in the day they used an accelerometer inside the car and ran the numbers it these cars were closer to 450 hp from the factory.
