I'm sorry they freaked you out so much. :( If it was pre-eclampsia, it can almost always be prevented (or improved if you already have it) by eating enough protein, calcium and magnesium. I don't know why your doc wouldn't mention this! All pregnant women should make sure they consume at least 70g of protein daily. If you don't eat enough protein, that's why you would see protein in your urine. I'm glad it was just a bladder infection, hopefully you got it under control quickly! :)
When I was 25 weeks I was admitted in to the hospital and stayed there for a month. I was 4 cm dilated and 80% effaced. My son is a health 17 month old now and manage to keep him in my belly until 37 weeks. I know all that can be terrifying but dont let me scary you.
I can really tell how much you love her! My mom delivered my sister at 26 weeks 30 years ago and she turned out just fine.
Thank goodness for having a bladder infection and not preclampsia! Did you have any idea prior to this that you had a bladder infection? That's crazy! That's great that you have all of that support from your family!
The same thing happened to me during my 24 week doctors appointment. I went in thinking all was fine. For some reason the babies heart rate kept dropping in the office, so my doctor freaked out and had me rush over to the hospital, needless to say after an almost 5 hours visit and ultrasound, the baby was fine and her heart rate never dropped again. They were also talking about delivering her that day too. Just to think these little girls already have us running:)
Oh my gosh I'm so glad you & the baby are ok!! Sorry they worried you guys over nothing! But so relieved to hear everything's ok now :)
They thought I had PreEclampsia when I was pregnant with my daughter & they had me all worried too. I didn't have the protein in my urine or high HB but had all the other symptoms. Scary stuff!
