This happens a few times a year. We race down to the pond and generally swim across and do some sort of obstacle course. However, we never do it in the sunshine. It's normally done when it's storming or in colder months. We have done it every month from April to November, so why not try a new month with new conditions. We've never had to break through ice to do a pond challenge, but there's a first time for everything. This is a collection of some of the highlights.
I agree! I first went ice swimming with my dad @ age 3. I only stayed in 10 seconds then, but U build up slowley. I've had daily cold baths & swimms ever since. I'm now 23 & swim in winter @ 2C for 10mins most days. Its a fantastic way to toughen up.

You seem to have just as fun as we have in our club, training and swimming outside every second day all year around. Dipping in an ice hole, running naked in the snow some kilometers followed by training and another swim in the ice before the sauna. Keep on !
