its not the pickups, tom petty and the heartbreakers use firebirds for it. ok little more top end on the minis than standard buckers. but i noticed your plugged into a marshall which is probably the muddy sound, i get the same thing with my trusty old laney (growly british amps), i researched it and the usual heartbreakers rig is fender amps which have alot more top end. anyway nice playing buddy

@BrucePetty Yes, a G5120. Pickups are a little muddy for a tune like this, but I felt like playing it!
