GENERAL COMMENT:
THIS COMMENT & QUESTION IS DIRECTED TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU PARTICIPATING IN THIS DEMOCRATIC DEBATE TONIGHT.
FIRST MY COMMENT: My name is David Stein and I live in Warminster. Pennsylvania,
I am of the Jewish persuasion, and I am a 63 years old male who has suffered with INSULIN DEPENDENT TYPE 2 Diabetes FOR THE LAST 17 YEARS OF MY LIFE.
I truly believe in my heart that your God and mine who I strongly believe is one and the same would not Uke to see over 110,000,000 + individuals living in the United Stats of America today suffer any longer with chronic diseases or illnesses which has the potential to be cured by utilizing (IVF) Embryonic Clean Stem Cell Lines (ECSCL).
It amazes me that for the first time in U.S.A. History that Science is not allowed to progress WITH THIS VITAL RESEARCH OF CLEAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELL LINES RESEARCH, AND I EMPHASIZE "CLEAN LINES"." UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE (NIH), a compromise but forth (by then Senator Rick Santorum and presently by Senator Arlen Specter representing Pennsylvania )..
AS YOU ALL KNOW, The bill S-5, now known as the Stem Cell Enactment Act of 2007, also requires that the donation of any embryos for research will only occur after the decision has been made by the donor couple to dispose of the leftover blastocysts from the In Vitro Fertilization IVF process.
Gentlemen and Lady I take umbrage to the fact that I and 110,000,000+ individuals living in the United States of America today are not likened as Garbage or Medical Waste to be discarded as such.
To my knowledge Sir or Madam,
not one of the nation's preeminent scientists regard any form of "alternative" stem cell research as a substitute for embryonic Stem Cell Research (Medical decisions should be made by the parents, the family and their doctor.
The American people overwhelmingly support embryonic stem cell research. Not only are they impressed by the science itself, but they resent the restrictions currently imposed; restrictions on federal funds to embryonic stem cell research denies every family the right to access the best medical treatment and cures for their loved ones.
This support for embryonic stem cell research manifested itself in major victories by pro-stem cell research candidates in the 2006 midterm Election.
As further proof:
I personally attended The New York Stem Cell Foundations First Annual Translational Stem Cell Research Conference Curing Disease from Lab Bench to Bedside held at the Rockefeller University on October 23 -24,2006 where I had the privilege to hear the findings of dr. Doug Melton of Harvard University and other eminently qualified scientist researcher as they presented there research findings to those who attended the above mentioned meeting regarding Embryonic Stem Cell Research and all other alternatives Stem Cell Types..
NOW MY QUESTION TO EACH OF YOU;
THE TIME IS RIPE... THE TIME IS NOW:
WHICH OF YOU EACH PARTICIPATING IN THIS DEBATE TONIGHT
WOULD ENACT INTO LAW UNDER THE VIGILANCE OF THE NATIONAL
INSTITUTE OF HEALTH (NlH) THE STEM CELL ENACTMENT ACT OF 2007
passed by the Senate and House of Representatives in 2007

Please do hot confuse the Cloning Issue since this type of research modality is illegal in the United State of America today.

TO Y-TUBE VIEWERS: Please encourage Steven Cobert and Jon Stewart on their shows to high light the need for 111 Congress to pass into law the stem cell research enhancement act of 2007. We need a 1,000,000 + women, man, and​ child March on Washington D.C. to emphazise to Congress the need to pass this law, and make it the law of the land. Please, respond to this request. Dave

Obama, 111 Congress passed the recent Health Care Reform Act. An excellent first step. The next step should be the enactment into Law by the congress of the Stem Cell Research Enactment Act of 2007. into Law. A question for Obama to the Congress.. Pass into law and insist that Congress pass that Act of 2007 mentioned above. Yes or No?

The reason is simple. If Obama is notre-elected in 2012, the New Republican President would reverse what President Obama achieved in 2009.

It was my desire that President Barack Obama and the U.S.A. citizen address the question to have the 111 Congress pass into law and insist that Congress pass that Act of 2007.

The reason is simple. Should President Obama not be re-elected in 2012, the new Republican President would reverse what President Obama achieved in 2009.
