  • I really want to understand the reason why he tries to show himself as a philosopher and a preacher for Atheism.

It's going to be much better if he sticks to Biology, nothing else Biology.

  • @94AJ94

I believe everyone is entitled to express his own opinions on any subject. If I or you do not like those opinions, then its our own problem....

Besides, the guy has revolutionized his field of expertise, no body could blame him when he does anything afterwards.

  • @flux qubit

yes sure, everybody has the right to, but... it's not right to host a person with an elementary school certificate as an expert in politics in some T.V show! >>> just an example to make you understand.

I believe Dawkins is a very good biologist, but not a very good philosopher. Therefor, he has the right to talk about his opinion in evolution and support it with evidence, but it's not a good thing if he criticizes religions in a philosophical point of view.

  • @94AJ94

So only philosophers can use philosophy to support their points of views? this is unacceptable!

The idea behind this show is to host people who subscribe to disbelief and show their arguments. Noone said that their arguments have to stick to their own area of expertise. See Arther Miller for instance, Does he have to find arguments for his atheism that are only supported by Theater science [since he is a play writer]? Same with Weinberg/Physics and Dennett/Philosophy of consciousness.

and liking or disliking is a relative issue, it differs from a person to another.

in conclusion: If you like his philosophy- it's up to you. And I don't like his philosophy, that's why I see that he should care about bare Biology, because he is better in it.

And I don't want to discuss any point further with you.

  • @fluxqubit

despite the fact whether what you said is correct or not, and to be honest with you- I didn't read the whole reply. My point of view was: Richard Dawkins should stop trying to publish or spread his philosophy because his philosophical points and argument don't amount to be that widely published, that's because they are not well built over the right logic.

in other more simple words: I DON'T LIKE his philosophical points of view because they are not logical enough TO ME.

  • أشكرك على الحلقات الرائعه
