This beach is considered one of the most picturesque spots on the Oregon Coast. The seastacks are spectacular. The terrain is fairly level, so beach walking is easy. During Winter months, agates and driftwood can be found, and pieces of 1930's shipwrecks are often exposed. Like Hubbard Creek - a mile south - Battle Rock beach is known for its excellent surfing conditions. And during the 4th of July the Area's Fireworks Display is launched from this beach and the top of Battle Rock itself !

I've passed through Port Orford a couple of times, in 2006 and 2007. I wish I could've stayed a while, but I did get to spend a little while walking the beach to the east of Battle Rock. I will return, hopefully with a little more time on my hands, it's beautiful
I've got a couple videos from there ... I'm ot a surfer, but I enjoyed it.

I'm from Florida, but I'm a wannabe Oregonian. :)
