FYI. This was recorded at Cameo-Parkway in Philadelphia as part of a four song "audition" to be the Monkees. Technically, it was the original recording, though our version was not released until Sundazed put out a four song EP on red vinyl (sometime in the late '90's?). Of course, the Blues Magoos are considered the definitive version. Another song on that "audition" tape and the EP was "She", which predates the Monkees version. Thx for the kind words.
Is this the same Sounds Unlimited that recorded Cool One? If so, would you please contact me?

Very cool version! I like the Blues Magoos version too. I'd say this is a cover, since Searchin' For Shakes lists this song as unreleased.
