was dat guy here or something?

    (I live in Maastricht)

    wel..

    thanx

  • actually Andrew Marr is correct. The Social Chapter was removed from the treaty as a result of Majors negotiations and was instead a protocol annexed to the treaty, which subsequently was included, and adopted by Britain in the the early years of the Labour government.

  • as usual andrew marr is wrong

major didnt take the social chapter "out of the treaty altogether" it REMAINED in the treaty

major only secured an opt out

tony blair opted back into it in 1997
