I think this was originally released as LIVE VOL II (~1970), a year+ after the band split. They finished GOODBYE after the Farewell Concert(s) and then, obviously Stiggy and company still "MILKED" the hell out of the band and released LIVE CREAM and LIVE CREAM VOL II, posthumously. While RSO hurt this band and drove them into the ground, i am thankful that these two "LIVE" albums were released. Because "LIVE" is why CREAM were the best band in history. I know, but, I stand by that 1000%

Same year Hendrix played Winterland I think. Clapton is incredible, the energy level astounding! Great imagination, too--lots of different progressions here. Very different from Hendrix--I never think of either one as better than the other. But for guitarists, it is very interesting to listen to Hendrix live at Winterland, and song by song, compare it to Cream at Winterland. Great contrasts. Great power, too. Jack played power bass here!

maybe I'd say one his best long solo live improvisation performence for sure!!!!!!!!! the solo he does when they played "tales of...." live on smother brothers show is also amazing. I don't play guitar but I may think that it is not his best technical playing but it is maybe one of the more intense,or maybe because it is shorter!
