the theory of 8trigram art is going with the opponent force flow right? I'm currently improving my Mixed martial art level. I acquire taekwondo, Wingchun, pressure points kenpo and the sword art.

This is a really nice two person form, but how come the sparring operates at a different range and doesn't seem to reflect the principles being demonstrated in the form?

the sparring was actually being done by baji and long fist students in the class, since they were going to the tournament. none of the bagua students were preparing for the tournament, and so are postponing full-contact sparring until they are more prepared.
