Joey Coulter gets airborne during the last lap of the 2012 Nascar Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 Finish on 02/24/2012. So I guess the angle and speed that Kyle Larson hit the catch fence this Saturday was greater and that's why the catch fence broke. And maybe there isn't a cross over gate there.

I do believe you're correct. The Coulter accident occurred further down on the catchfence and not at a cross-over gate. When a vehicle breaches the fence, hitting the pole, the vehicle ricochets off with a devastating force. Tethers appear to fail in both of these crashes. Did you hear only one person called 911 from the grandstands?

I was there too, I was behind it and maybe 10 rows up. I'll never forget the noise that was made when the truck tore through that fence. Nice video man.
