5,000 years old and the worse thing that could possibly happen is for the girl he fell head over heals in love with rejected him. Man, where can I get a guy like him.

What an incredible scene, and the one later clip where Duncan tells Joe, "Even if she lived for a hundred years, it still wouldn't be long enough". Wow, cause its true. However, I still have to think back to Queen's song which starts "Just one year of love, is better than, a lifetime alone............"

That's one determined man.

I rather think that Alexa is one of the reasons MacLeod couldn't ultimately toss him away after the Horsemen incident. Mac is pretty good at disowning former friends who've crossed a line he can't live with. Methos does Mac a world of good, I think, just by stubbornly existing. Highlander wouldn't have been half as good without Methos and Joe.
