como detesto que la gente que conosca obviamente tan poco de musica, tenga que luego pensar en sigur ros cuando escucha mum. no son las unicas bandas y no veo porque sale el tema una banda respecto la otra

You do not hear much about Iceland being a port, nor do you see much of its ancient art. I got this info from a book on the subject, not my ass.

"obscure" doesn't mean "solitary"... Now that i see what you meant I can kind of agree. But the darkness of countries lying at that latitude has nothing to do with the possible lack of culture in those countries -- may even be on the contrary. Also, just because there's only recent art/music, doesn't mean they have "very little culture of their own". Culture contains much more than art or music 'exported' into the outside world.
